International Society for Testate Amoeba Research Meeting
The Royal Botanical Garden in Madrid and the International Society of Testate Amoeba Researchers (ISTAR), a society affiliated to the International Society of Protistologists (ISOP), announce the 10th International Symposium on Testate Amoebae (ISTA10) in Madrid, Spain, 2-6 October 2023.
After a too long break due to the COVID-19 pandemia, testate amoeba researchers will finally have the opportunity to meet in person in Madrid. Like in the former symposia, this meeting will bring together researchers working on very different disciplines, including e.g. ecologists, evolutionists, palaeoecologists, biogeographers and palaeontologists. Cross-disciplinary discussions will be held, including a taxonomic workshop where different aspects of this field will be discussed.
ISTA10 will include a mixture of senior and early career researchers to help network building and collaborations, stimulate lively discussions and keep the multidisciplinary spirit of ISTA meetings.
Please submit your abstracts until the 17th of July to ista10Madrid2023@gmail.com, in a Word format (maximum 250 words) and do not forget to mention in the document if you want a poster or an oral presentations. Talks will last 8 minutes, with 2 minutes questions.
